Kim & Jamie’s Wedding at Swancar Farm – 25th August 2017

Here’s the highlights from an awesome wedding at Swancar Farm! After initially meeting with Kim & Jamie to discuss their wedding at Swancar Farm, it was clear I was going to be capturing an awesome wedding, with two great people who clearly have a lot of love for each other.

Kim & Jamie’s wedding had that touch of class, from the Groomsmen in tailored blue suits with brown tan shoes to the Bride in a stunning fitted dress with Jimmy Choo shoes. They also had a couple of pretty sweet Merc’s – including the Mercedes-Benz S500 Cabriolet (as seen below)

The day was filled with plenty of love and laughter and the weather played ball! It was also a wedding at Swancar Farm where I pushed myself to get something different and create some unique images. The evening shots with the bride and groom were a pleasure to capture. With the newly harvested crop field on offer and some dramatic atmospheric night shots under the Pergola.

Information & advice from the newly-weds.

How long have you been together: We’ve been together just over 6 years and met on a drunken night out. A few cheeky chat up lines, some dodgy dancing and I managed to get Kim’s number.

Any stories or tales from the proposal: During a romantic meal at home and I was going to put the ring on the dessert but I was most surprised Kim said she didn’t want dessert that night!

Reasons for choosing your venue: We looked at A lot of venues, Kim saw Swancar farm online and booked a viewing she fell in love with it. One thing that stood out from the others was the variety of rooms and the fact the ceremony room was separate from the main oak hall. Many venues you have to leave the rooms whilst they change it for the ceremony to wedding breakfast etc.

Colour scheme/theme/style: The colour scheme was ivory (to match the dress) blush pink and rose gold. We liked the soft and neutral pallet.

Any special thoughts/memories from the day: The whole day was fantastic the staff at Swancar were excellent making sure everything went to plan and couldn’t do enough for us.

Any advice for couples planning a wedding: Save plenty lol. Follow your heart everything is achievable and don’t strive for perfection. Make the most of day as it goes VERY Quick. Remember the day is about the two of you. The day, the food, the venue, the hair, make-up, dress, suits etc it’s all what you want as a couple, not everyone else it’s your wedding day.
