Tim & Carmella’s Wedding at Colwick Hall – 22nd July 2017
Here’s some highlights and information from another awesome wedding at Colwick Hall. It’s always great to be back here since getting married there myself back in 2014. The venue, staff, food, and overall atmosphere is just what you’d want for your special day. If you’re thinking of having your wedding at Colwick Hall you wont’ be disappointed. Hopefully the images and information will give you some inspiration and show just how awesome this venue is.
Information & advice from the newly-weds!
How long have you been together: Me and Tim have been together for 3 years.
Any stories or tales from the proposal: My family dog of 12 years had died the previous day and everyone was distraught. I was really distressed and so the next night Tim had filled the living room with candles and dropped to one knee and proposed!
Reasons for choosing your venue: We chose The Holy Rood Edwalton because of its 850 year history. We both love all things old and that hold history. Also it’s my Nans local parish and the parish my mum was born in which made it more personal.
We chose Colwick Hall for its Beauty and the fact that it was originally Lord Byrons house, which we absolutely love about it. We also love the style and the hand painted ceiling is magnificent.
Colour scheme/theme/style: Our colour theme was dusky pink, blush pink, ivory and gold.
Any special thoughts/memories from the day: Special memories were seeing each other for the first time at the altar. It was such an amazing and wonderful day that all our family and friends made very special for us. I particularly loved the family dance we did, when I danced with Tayte and Tim danced with Scarlett.
Any advice for couples planning a wedding: My advice to any couples getting married is don’t worry a thing! The day goes so fast you don’t actually get to take in the small bits. Just enjoy the day and have fun!
